Beautiful appearance and design, comfortable to use
inkmoji are beyond language
Inkmoji, a set of 25 handpainted emoticons, are made at the request of a child psychologist. She was using standard emoticons to talk with her little cliënts about their emotions, to let them show how they are feeling. She found these standard (yellow, green, red) emoticons limited in possibilities in expression, and rather directive.
Inkmoji have a ‘richness’ in expression, beautiful in appearance and design and pleasant to use. The 25 cards offer a wide range in possible interpretations by the picture, and also the amount of cards give plenty of choices by which a conversation in detail becomes possible.
Mathilde de Vriese paints in sumi-e style, a traditional art form in Japanese Zen. This is reflected in the accurate painting of the circles and the use of blue ink. The 25 inkmoji are painted in deep concentration(focus), with brushes, guided by the breath and in silence. But of course at the same time sensitive for the many emotions they are expressing!
The inkmoji can be used in many ways, but it is of course also up to you, to work with it, to experiment and to find out. U can let the cliënt pass the 25 cards through their hands and ask to choose four. U can make a (pre)selection yourself.
